Networked Intimacy x MODEM

In 2023, Anastasiia Fedorova collaborated with Amsterdam-based Office for Design and Innovation MODEM on a research paper titled ‘Networked Intimacy’. Together with Morgan Catalina, holistic sexuality educator, and industrial designer Maxime le Grelle, they explored the tension between technology and human connection. The paper includes a series of speculative hardware interventions exploring the potential of interpersonal relationships in the connected age. The paper covers such complex topics as interpersonal intimacy, mental health, the nature of online communities and the future potential of haptic design.
